Default How much does it cost to build a Cruise Ship?

Does anyone know how much Hurtigruten cruises paid Fincantieri to build their new ship MS Fram?

Probably in the $100-$200 million range. Most of the mega ships built these days are well over $500 million and some are approaching a billion.

According to their 2005 Annual Report, it was NOK 540 million (about $100 million). Details can be found on page 24 here.

QM2 and the Freedom of the Seas each cost @ $800,000,000.00. RCCL is building a sister ship to the Freedom, for '08, and an even bigger ship for '09.

Cunard just announced that they will be building a new Queen Elizabeth for 2010 at a cost of 500 million pounds, so I think that would be about 1 Billion US?
