2011 Schedule of "out of service" (dry docks, charters and groups)

The 2011 spreadsheet for HAL's fleet locations lists the following events. This in no way guarantees that some future changes won't occur!

Dry Docks for 2011 -- in date order... (I realize that some concerned folks want to know the difference between dry and wet docks... I am only using the term as listed in HAL's spreadsheet)

Volendam – March 31, 2011 through April 13, 2011 (in Singapore) before doing a Far East itinerary and a Trans-Pacific crossing to Alaskan itineraries

Eurodam – April 2, 2011 through April 11, 2011 (in Freeport, Bahamas) before the Trans-Atlantic sailing on April 12

Maasdam – April 8, 2011 through April 23, 2011 (in Freeport, Bahamas) before changing to New England/Canada itineraries

Veendam – April 15, 2011 through April 28, 2011 (in Freeport, Bahamas) before changing to the Bermuda itineraries

Oosterdam – September 25, 2011 through October 3, 2011 (in Victoria, BC) before changing to Mexican Riviera itineraries

We kept hearing rumors regarding the aft pool being put back on Veendam, but not in a while. I don't think that could be done in 13 days. If done at all I assume the pool would be where the retreat is located. Does anyone have any further information?

I heard the same rumor -- someone - somewhere mentioned that it could be done -- but the inside cabins below it would have to be removed. Not certain how true this is.

But most agree that the Retreat Pool on the Veendam has been a disaster.

I knew a few months ago about Delbert McClintock chartering the Westerdam. Their Road Manager and I have been in contact. She has already been on the ship a couple of times and really likes it

Hope the Olivia Charter in April on Oosterdam keep our next ship in good order (just kidding)

Anyone had any experience sailing on a ship just coming out of dry dock? I am scheduled to sail on the Eurodam at the end of her drydock. Is this a likely time for crew and staff changes?

how do you find out about charters in 2012? i have been looking at the boards for a Maasdam cruise but no one has started a roll call. I've been wondering if it might be a charter? January 2012

I usually do a search on Google for the name of the ship and the date of the cruise. But others have different ways

The best person for you to ask about how they got the Charter info is "trvlcrzy" who was the one who got this info
