They started at £3,897 or something when I looked and then the website crashed.
Don't forget if anyone is checking out the price then the cabins are temporarily blocked so they will be released back within 10mins if not booked.

HTTP 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR is all the website will do for me.
I suppose the prices showing at nearly £4000 must be the prices for suites? The nice girl at Virgin Cruises promised to be back to me by 9am and she took a £600 deposit........so lets see Time for another cup of tea! |

Got through to booking page and it is quoting £4,342 for two people in a guaranteed "NN" with £150 on board spends. So they are discounting £3,412 for passed passengers.

Sounds like it would be cheaper to charter a boat and sail alongside!!!
I can't consider it due to children anyway. Hope you manage to get a sensible quote

The nice girl at Virgin has just rung
She tells me all the systems at the OV booking centre have crashed and that they have had 30 consultants trying to make bookings since 8am. Also said I was on the top of her list because I wanted to book a balcony...but there again probably said something similar to everyone. Couldn't OV have come up with a better way of dealing with this. Should have been offered on some kind of loyalty basis. We have only used OV twice so I wouldnt have minded losing out to someone who had been a dozen times and wanted to be on the last voyage. Anything would have been better than this bunfight! |

Just as a guide to anyone wishing to book the repo. cruise on OV. I went on this cruise last Oct. and paid £2669. That was for a Manchester flight to Crete, return with Singapore Airlines, 30 night cruise (included the Groves and Gondolas Cruise as well as the repo cruise) in an AA suite, and 3 nights in Singapore at the Orchard Hotel. I know you could expect a slight increase due to inflation, but some of the prices that people are quoting seems to suggest exploitation.

Hi there,
We have spoken to Ocean Village this morning and the company has issued a statement regarding the problems with booking the farewell cruises. Hope this helps you all! Here it is: "We are very sorry but Ocean Village's Farewell Sailings have had to be taken off sale after bookings opened this morning. This is because of technical issues resulting from very high demand. The Farewell Cruises will go back on sale at 10am on Wednesday 10 March. "We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused and would like to thank everyone for bearing with us while we sort things out. "The Farewell Sailings were shown on the website at times this morning with lead fares which were incorrect and higher than should have been displayed. We are working hard to ensure that all technical issues have been resolved in good time ahead of the re-opening of bookings for the Ocean Village Farewell Sailings on Wednesday 10 March at 10am." Hi BG
I tried to book this morning and got all the way to selecting the cabin and i think one step away from putting my credit card in. The prices were discounted towards the end of the sign up and the total cost was around £3855 inclding 2 nights in Singapore, We did only select the NN Cabins. I am going to be very jealous if you got a booking and not me, I had an email this morning from Gill,s with the message O/V site crashed but they are hopeful we will get a booking on Wednesday, Did Gill,s give you a booking ref and cabin number thats the only way you can guarentee your booking. Good luck to all who want this voyage ![]() By the way it,s cold and snowing here inCanada |

Hi again, and good luck to all of you who are hoping to book the cruise on Monday/Wednesday. We did it last year and had the connecting flight back to Manchester an outside cabin and 2 nights in Singapore all for just over £1503 each. We booked with Thomas Cook and used their credit card to avoid the extra charges and that was the total price paid. The only extra was then the visa which we did by downloading the form online and then going to Manchester, actually the office was in Longsight and paid a lot less than Ocean Village etc were charging! Enjoy you will!!!!!!
