So far 8 people going with about 8-12 more still thinking.

Voting has begun!

I sent out an email to family last week that they can vote on which cruise to go on, RCCL AOS out of San Juan or NCL Dawn out of New Orleans.

I'm hoping to get responses by Valentines Day and then...

this has been interesting

I've enjoyed this thread. As you can see, I've never cruised NCL. As I've only experienced traditional MDR, I don't have anything to compare it to.

I do like getting to know my waiter and asst. ...

I think it'll be okay

Hi DON,
Thanks for the comments. I guess I've got a different family experience than you do. I'm still being very optimistic. This new cruise option isn't bad at all. I want to go back to NO. ...

time for an update

Hi all,

It's time for an update.
By last count we have about 12-14 people committed in 6-7 cabins. I think a few more will commit as the end of the year comes around.

1. We have finally...

Well, I was wondering about that too. But after one day, it can't be too bad. I've been on a cruise from Galveston where you didn't want to be outside at all on departure day.

12 day

The 12 day with 6 ports/6 sea days is enticing.

I've never cruised more than 7 days, so I'm looking for an opportunity to do a 10+ day cruise. I've also never had more than 2 sea days in a row. ...

Yes, it was a brisk one here this morning too.

I think I'll just have to wait for another cruise with MIL and FIL. They'd prefer to drive. We can drive to Baltimore, NYC or New Orleans without...

Woodman's and Flanagan's

We have a Woodman's in town, I'll have to check there. I found Amarula Cream there when I couldn't find it anywhere else. We also have a couple of "if you can't find it here, you don't need it"...
