This is our first cruise with the entire family going in one room. 4 of us. Is it worth $200 to upgrade from a BA to a mini-suite? Would love any help. I will call tomorrow to upgrade if it is worth it. I have a 12 year old and a 23 year old. Is the room that much different?? Any extra feet might be worth it for 4 people. I have never stayed in a mini. Just balcony. Thank you for all your help!!!

My husband and I are going on our first cruise Feb 28th to the western...

My husband and I are going on our first cruise Feb 28th to the western carribean on the Carnival conquest. It's our 10 year anniversary. I have been reading online and the more I read the less I know! My biggest question is , how do we know what costs more and what is included? I get the drinks and soda are more but I have read different restaurants have surcharges. Do they have it posted, this restaurant costs more? Does it cost for room service? They say its free but are there hidden charges? I don't want to get on board and end up with a $1000 bill that I didn't know I would have. Also, how much are drinks and sodas? Are there any other fees I have to know about? We figured we would just eat at the buffet because we don't like dressing up and my husband has a big appetite, but I don't want to pay for every meal.

What about shore excursions? They say book it in advance, the place I booked it with told me if you wait you can get it half as cheap? Any other advice for me? Thanks for any help! April

Ok folks, I was active duty from Jan 1994-July 1994, then Reservist from July 1994-Feb 2002. I was honorable discharges, and Have the letter stating this. My dd-214 says un-categorized, but it only shows the active duty dates. The letter shows the actual date of my HONORABLE discharge from the Reserves.
Now I have multiple copies of both documents. However, I am worried that when I get to port, the letter plus the DD214 will be insufficient.

I have recently requested and received my documents again, to be sure everything was up to date, they sent me copies of the same forms i already have from 2002!

Am I going to be in trouble here? Has anyone else spent time int he reserves, is this standard for discharge? Only the letter stating honorable and the dates you served?

I will be in Nassau on the Disney Wonder on Dec,11'th,.....according to cruiseTT there will also be,......
Carnival Liberty Carnival Sensation Costa Atlantica Disney Wonder and "Bahamas Celebration"

But I also see That this is the very same Day as The NEW OASIS OF The SEAS first visit there,.....

So That's 6 TOTAL SHIPS AT ONCE, Including the Arrivel and Downtown Welcome Party for the Biggest Ship ON earth
Can they fit all of these at once, and how many people will that make in port that day?,......what kind of confusion should I expect?????

I've wanted to cruise for a while and have been going back and forth. I really wanted to go somewhere warm this winter so I started browsing for deals. I finally found a good (I think) deal on the Carnival Sensation: 4 day cruise to the Bahamas for $371 total! I'm so excited! I'm already having visions of lounging on the deck, enjoying the beach, drinking a fruity cocktail. Cruising seems so retro/glam (like the old days when travel by oceanliner was the thing). I'm SO excited. :D

Everything is set, have read up on money, shots, mummy tummy, etc., but now I need to know - just what did you ladies wear on your feet?
Sandals - and let the sand slide in and out - or tennis shoes?
A friend suggested desert boots and the only ones I have seen are big clumpy boots which might be very hot to wear; also, too much money.

What worked for you?
thanks.:D
